The site is based upon the travel experiences of Kevin Gilmartin, firstly as a package tourist in Goa during January/February 2001, then as an independent traveler, backpacking down from Delhi through India and around Shri Lanka between 15 November 2001 and 15 February 2002, from 8 November 2002 to 20 February 2003 (by motorcycle) and from 4 December 2003 to 26 Feb 2004 in Bombay, Colva, Goa and Hampi & Gokarna, Karnataka.  There's will be accounts of my travels, photographs, essential information on how you too can do it, other useful web sites, some of the places to visit and avoid, the places to stay in, the problems you are likely to encounter, and guidance on what to take and, just as important, what to leave behind. There's also lots of information about motorcycling and driving in India.
